Results

The notation of the Results may be unfamiliar.

But there are good reasons to substitute the numerical values of the results in cross-tables:

• Scorings shall be unique for one group of an event. Therefore — for consistency and for avoiding redundancy — it is reasonable to specify it exactly once.
• The numerical values of scorings can change.

The notation is n{+|=|-}, where n is the index of the opponent, and +, =, and - is for win, draw and loss. E.g. 13- means that the player has lost against player 13.

Some fields are empty. This means one of the following:

• The player got a BYE. I.e., the player could not be paired because of an odd player count. He player earned a win.
• The game was not played because of late coming, withdrawal, or disqualification.

Note that — assuming the habits of FIDE chess — the evaluation of empty fields differ between tournament standings and ratings.
